Fully-Integrated LIFE: How Grace Works
(part five)
Much more having been reconciled,
we shall be saved by His life
(Rom. 5:10)
The blood of Christ reconciled us. The price for sin was paid through the shedding of Christs blood. Through the cross, God offered the gift of forgiveness and now by faith we are justified through grace (Rom 3:23-24).
His blood was the payment for our sin. At the cross God publicly displayed His acceptance. At the cross Christ shed His blood to be the satisfaction (propitiation) for sin and the righteousness of God was fulfilled.
The cross is Gods meeting place and when we meet Him at the cross, the blood of Christ restores our relationship with the Creator. We are brought near!
Much more having been justified
having been reconciled, we are now being saved by His life! He lives in us by grace! And, Resurrection Life is so much more than life we can live on our own.
Having been born of flesh and blood, death reigned in our hearts. But now, having been born again of the Spirit, we have been given resurrection life.
Look at this verse again:
For if by the transgression of the one, death reigned through the one, MUCH MORE those who receive the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ. (Rom 5:17)
Are you still living carnal, childish liveslike mere men (I Cor. 3:1-3) ?
Or, are you living in the much more found in His grace?
Abundance of grace? Can your life be described as abundant?
His life is abundant
and He wants to live His life in you!
Father,
I know that the blood of Christ paid for my sin and brought me into a relationship with You.
Forgive me for living in the power of flesh. I want to live in the abundance of Your grace and the Much More of His Life.
Resurrection Life of Jesus, flow through me
..for Your Glory!
Amen.
